Mike has been riding mountain bikes for most of his life. He grew up in Victoria, BC trying to keep up to guys like Geoff Kabush and Andreas Hestler. Despite the cross country background Mike’s favorite time riding is on the downhill. He was a fixture on the Canadian race circuit, including many North American World Cups and represented Canada on the National team 5 times and was the Canadian Downhill Champion 3 times.
These days you will find him in Squamish BC which is nestled nicely between the fabled North Shore of Vancouver and Whistler, BC. You'll find Mike out on the trails riding local Enduro and XC events, on riding adventures, leading a camp or coaching, as well as working closely with his favorite brands on research and product development projects. When not on the bike Mike is likely building something in his back yard shop or at work as a professional firefighter.
